Raise The Roof
Who are we? Fortune College is a further education college for young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities, working with horses to learn skills for independent living, skills for work and accredited qualifications.
The Heart of the Matter. Working with horses all year round is fundamental to the development of the young people who study with us. An essential component of the course is our indoor school. The roof is now over 40 years old and has a number of areas that need repair.
Our Problem. Unfortunately, as the roof contains asbestos, current building regulations prohibit its repair, and we therefore have to replace the roof in its entirety.
The Damage. The replacement of the roof needs to be carried out by specialist contractors at an estimated minimum cost of £300,000. This may be affected by the current shortages of materials which could see the costs increase further.
What You Can Do. As a charitable organisation we need your help and are looking for sponsorship, donations and grants to meet the required cost of the roof replacement.
Sponsorship starts from as little as £250 and increases in multiples thereof. All sponsors will be acknowledged on our website with links to their website and social media. Higher levels of sponsorship will include dedication plaques/slabs, sponsors panels up to naming the building after them and/or painting the sponsors logo on the entirety of the roof so it is visible to the planes coming into land at Bournemouth Airport, the possibilities are endless.
Donations can be for any amount, and we are grateful for every penny donated.
