In Day in the Life of Jemima as a Second Year by Jemima

Tuesday 15^th September

I woke up at 7:15 am and then I got dressed ready for the yard and made my bed. At 7:30 am I go downstairs to have my morning meds. After that I then waited to go in the dining room for breakfast. AT 7:45am I go into the dining room for breakfast. I had granola and banana with a carton of pineapple juice and a cup of tea. At 8:00am I went back upstairs to brush my teeth and then I scrolled on tiktok before I go back downstairs to wait for the bus.

Next I then got my bag ready, and I then went back downstairs to get ready for the bus. I went into the boot room at Wooton to get my yard boots on. By time I finished getting my yard boots on it was time to get on the bus to go up to ATY yard. When I arrived at ATY I got off the bus and I then went to the locker room to put my bag away before coming on the yard. After that I went on to Hayward. I then got Frosty’s grooming kit out. I then opened his stable door, and I closed it behind me. Next I then unbuckled his headcollar and then I placed it on him. I then tied his lead rope on to his piece of string so that he was nice and secured in his stable.

After that I brushed his mane and tail first before I moved onto his body. I then groomed his body to get all the mud off him because he had been rolling in the mud in his field with his field friends. I then picked out his hooves to get anything is stuck in there. I then cleaned his eyes, nose and his dock. Then Lizzy helped me to put his water bucket back in his stable as it is very heavy. Then I untied him and took his headcollar off before going to my transition guide session. I then went to the library at 9.30 for my transition guide session with Becky. I did some an amazing work with her. She is the best transition guide, and she should get a pay rise. I then went back to the yard, and I then went to the field with Gabby to clean the water troughs as they were extremely filthy and we turned the water back on to refill the water troughs.

After we finished cleaning the water troughs we went back to the yard to get the yard clean before we feed the horses and ourselves. I then fed Frosty his lunch before I go for lunch myself. I then go to the bathroom to wash my hands before lunch and then I go to Peters box for lunch. After lunch I then went to the tack room to get Leo’s tack out before going to the locker room to get ready for riding. I then got on Leo, and I warmed him up in the school before trotting him around the arena. My bum was that electric that Leo went into canter and I sat it well. It was an amazing lesson. I got a great pic with him after the lesson. I then untacked him and I brushed his girth line before taking his tack back to the tack room.

After that I went back to the locker room to get my boots changed. I then mucked Frosty out all by myself. I then took his dirty bedding on to the hayward’s muck heap. Then I turned Frosty out in his field. After that i went to the locker room to get my stuff for the bus. when I get back to Wooton I had a bath before dinner. Then I went cycling with Justin. When I came back, I had my meds and then i got ready for bed. I then went to bed about 10:00 pm.
