Max is an 18 year old residential student in his second year at fortune College, from Crawley. Recently he filled in a questionnaire about life at Fortune College. Here's what he had to say.
His typical day at college starts off with waking up around 7:20, then he goes to have breakfast at 7:45. He gets on the minibus to be driven down to college to arrive around 9:00am.
The best parts of his day are riding and vaulting. He loves learning new skills and tricks when it comes to vaulting.
His favourite activity is to go and play cricket with all his friends in the evening when they can run around, let off some steam and have a good laugh.
His favourite horse's are Manny and Arthur who both have different personalities.
Max loves to study equine based learning he also loves doing his work based diploma (a British Horse Society qualification).
Max is also studying his ride safe challenge award as well as his maths and English.
Max has mostly found it easy to make friends and found the staff helpful. His favourite staff are Richard, Sarah B and Demi.
He loves living away from home but doesn't like wearing the uniform.
One of the life lessons Max has learned at Fortune College is to manage his moods.
He finds the calming nature of horses helps him with this. He has become more confident and independent and has learnt to cook.
He is most proud of how much his riding has improved as he had only ridden twice before he came to college.
When Max leaves college he would like to work on a stud yard and continue his vaulting.
The one piece of advice he would like to leave for new students is be careful who you choose as friends "salt and sugar look the same".
